Nell McAndrew has just popped up on the Emojo stand (309a). We suspect it wasn't because of her deep interest in internet software, but thanks for coming.

We were not allowed to take photos (boo) but there are plenty here. You get the idea.*

*Before you ask, yes, she was fully clothed.

But were afraid to ask? If you want to meet one of those "blog people," or understand a bit more about blogging go to stand 41 where VNUnet.com have a blog clinic.

Here you will meet the charming Matthew Gerry. He will be able to run through all aspects of blogging, demo blog software and, hopefully, answer all your burning questions about blogging.

Don't be scared, blog people don't bite.

I  managed to get a few words out of David Weinberger just after his barnstorming keynote this morning.  However, my compassion kicked in as I saw he really had given his all and, as he said, the adrenaline was fading fast.

So for those of you who aren't here, this is the hugely condensed version.

DavidjacketcopybDavid Weinberger, in his usual fashion, this morning stirred up an audience of information professionals by telling them the "old ways are dying, if not already dead".

Nervous laughter echoed around the room. But, in between the laughter, you could almost hear some deep thinking taking place. Engage with the New World or seek early retirement.

Packt Publishing is donating copies of its new book RSS and Atom: Understanding and Implementing Content Feeds and Syndication to three lucky delegates attending the Content Syndication session

Franck Poisson, Director of Web Sales and Business Development, Exalead will be joining the desktop search panel debate on Tuesday 29 November, 11.15-12.45.  Exalead have recently released their desktop search product, which has been designed to simplify all aspects of information search and retrieval for organizations of all sizes.

Here's my contribution to the laughing lemur competition:

Lemeur

If you have good links you'd like me to add, please comment and I'll add them.

Look forward to seeing you at the end of the month.

Enjoy taking photos.....then why not enter Peter Morville's Laughing Lemur Competition?  Happy snapping at Online!

JarWhat's this? It's a jar for collecting questions.

If you'd like your own question answered in the "monitoring and mining the blogosphere" forum, please drop it into the jar now.

Of course, you will have to do it metaphorically, by commenting on this post.

PS (23rd November) Probably a good idea to provide your name and affiliation with your question. Wouldn't want competitors to be asking awkward questions of each other. Thanks. [ For the record, there was a question but when I wrote to the author, the email bounced. So I deleted the question. ]

Im pleased to announce that Google will be joining the Future of the Library session on Tuesday 29 November, 11.15-12.45.  JL Needham, Strategic Development Manager, Google will be commenting on Michael Gorman, Elisabeth Niggemann and Glenda Myer's presentations in light of the Google Print and Google Scholar projects.  Sounds like a stimulating session.

Lloyd Davis runs Perfect Path, a knowledge management consultancy and has stepped in to provide a presentation in the wikis, blogs & rss track of the conference in replacement of Professor Anne Clye from the University of Iceland who sadly died early on this year.  Lloyd is speaking in the evolution of wikis session from 9.30-11.00am.

Lloyd will be talking about Wikis: breaking barriers and building bridges.  His presentation will focus on the changes to organisations and ways of doing business that are made possible by wiki technology, together with some examples of innovative practice.
